Canyon Campground

Canyon Campground in Yellowstone National Park Wyoming is within 1 mile of the Grand Canyon of Yellowstone. Part of the "Canyon Village" area of the park primitive tent and RV camping is offered in close proximity to some of the National Park's most stunning landscapes. Managed by a concessionaire reservations are available. Sites have both pull thru and backin options. The camping sites are located on a series of loops within a heavy pine forest. The thick volume of trees allows for decent privacy between sites but can also be a pain for larger rigs when setting up. The campground has paved roads with a mix of paved and dirt parking pads. A dump station, restaurants, laundry, showers and stores are all available in the village (additional fees apply). Many hiking trails in the area including trails down to the canyon rim. Reservations are recommended for this popular campground. Each site has a picnic table and fire ring. Bear boxes are located throughout the grounds and are highly advised as the volume of people tends to draw a few in every year looking for scraps. Explore the campground in standard format video
