About Norris Campground
Norris Campground in Yellowstone National Park Wyoming is a first come first served location for tent and RV camping. Central to many attractions and trails inside the park the campground is popular and fills quickly in peak season. There are three loops (100 total sites) with some sites in the trees and others having a view of the prairie. Norris is a historic area and is home to the Norris Soldier Station which now houses a museum dedicated to park rangers. Norris Geyser Basin is a short walk (or drive) away. Sites are suitable for tent and small RV camping only. Do not try and fit a large RV into this campground. Restrooms and running water are available. The campground roads and parking pads were recently repaved. Sites are generally very close to one another with not a lot of privacy. Picnic table, fire ring and bear boxes at each campsite. Sites are packed dirt. No laundry or supplies available in this general area. Come prepared and stocked. Overall this is a pretty place to camp with some great scenery, trails and opportunities to view wildlife. If you get skunked on grabbing a site Indian Creek to the North can be a decent fall back option. Explore the campground in standard video
