Probably the best and most remote of the vehicle accessible campgrounds in Yellowstone National Park. A small scattering of sites right along the river banks. Very quiet at night and a lot of neighbors that were "Yellowstone Experts". We lucked out on a busy weekend snagging the last empty site for our one night stay. Very knowledgable camp host and little to no traffic make this a great place to camp in a tent in Yellowstone. No cell service. Don't be surprised if you see Bison, Elk, or Bears here we saw all three during our one night stay.

What campers say
Slough Creek Campground is a small, remote spot in Yellowstone with creekside sites, wide mountain views and excellent wildlife viewing—many visitors report bison nearby and occasional sightings of other animals and raptors. It’s quieter and more backcountry-feeling than many park campgrounds, with good stargazing, nearby fishing and the Slough Creek trailhead within reach. Expect primitive amenities (vault toilets, limited shade) and a bumpy dirt access road; sites can get hot and buggy. Visitors frequently recommend bringing bear spray and insect protection. Helpful, friendly campground hosts are often noted. Best for those seeking a rustic, wildlife-focused stay.
