For tent camping, which we did, this is one of the more crowded places in Yellowstone. We had 3 neighbors all within 100 yards in an open setting. The first night it was fine with all the neighbors being quiet and respectful but on the second night the new arrivals were incredibly loud and rude until midnight. We will never stay here again in a tent unless we can get a site in the D+ loops where there are trees and separation. The other big problem with this campground, and rather shocking too, is there is a complete lack of bear boxes (1 per 10 sites) meaning that we had to keep scented items inside the car right next to us! Not a good deal for camping. Only advantage is it is right next to the marina allowing easy access to fishing and boating. Verizon service was weak to non-existent. We paid $14 per night.

Bridge Bay Campground offers a strong mix of advantages for Yellowstone visitors: lakeside sites with good views, frequent wildlife sightings (bison, elk, deer), clean heated bathrooms, and friendly, helpful staff. It’s centrally located for exploring nearby attractions and has on-site conveniences like a general store, bear boxes, picnic tables, and a free dump station with water. Expect dry camping only (no hookups). Sites vary — some RV spaces are tight or sloped and campsites are often open with limited privacy — and the large campground can be noisy at times from generators and nearby activity. Overall well maintained and scenic.
