Fishing Bridge RV Park — Virtual Tour
About Fishing Bridge RV Park
Fishing Bridge RV Park in Yellowstone National Park Wyoming provides full hookup RV camping on the northern end of Yellowstone Lake. The only campground with hookups inside the park this location fills early and often. Managed by concessionaire reservations are strongly recommended. Designed before larger rigs became popular caution is recommended for rigs larger than 30' although they can accommodate up to 40' rigs. Hard sided Rvs and trailers only.
The RV sites are located on multiple loops with backin sites. Very tight spacing between RVs they utilize every inch of space to fit as many units in as possible. Way over priced for the type of site and amenities BUT location is the driver. Full hookups inside Yellowstone National Park!
There are only small trees in and around the camping sites with the perimeter of the camping loops encircled by thick forest.
The famous Fishing Bridge and confluence of Yellowstone River and Yellowstone Lake are nearby. Fishing Bridge village offers fuel a service station and groceries.
Sites DO NOT include picnic tables, fire rings or bear boxes. In fact open fires are banned; only propane/ charcoal grills allowed.
Fishing Bridge RV Park is not a place to hang out; instead it is a place to park a large RV with full hookups while you go out and explore the Yellowstone area.
Laundry and showers located in the registration area. Hiking trails in the vicinity plus a paved multi-use trail connecting the campground to Fishing Bridge Area. A visitor center is located just across the highway.
When travelling to Fishing Bridge be aware of steep grades entering from Cody WY or the north.
The Fishing Bridge Recreational Vehicle Park is located near the mouth of the Yellowstone River as it leaves Yellowstone Lake. The RV park is named after the Fishing Bridge, a wooden vehicle bridge that used to provide a great platform from which park visitors would fish for native Cutthroat trout. Today, fishing is not allowed from the bridge, although visitors still congregate on the walkways to watch White Pelicans and other waterfowl gliding along the river’s surface, and to look for trout swimming under the crystal clear water.
We recently completed an extensive renovation of the RV Park. The renovation included new and larger sites, a larger parking lot, new dump station and recycling area, and an expanded registration building with more showers and laundry facilities. Four comfort stations were renovated to bring them to current ADA (accessibility) standards.
The Upper Loop of the RV park has 172 renovated and paved sites ranging from 40-feet to 95-feet in length. The 40-foot sites are double-wide and back-in. The majority of new sites include pull-through drives, and all of the Upper Loop has upgraded 50 amp/30 amp and 110-volt electrical service and picnic tables. (No other sites/loops were included in this renovation. There are 30- to 35-foot double-wide, back-in sites in other loops and 30-foot single-wide back-in sites.*)
We doubled the size of the registration building with a floor plan that accommodates additional womens’ and mens’ showers, two family showers, and more washing machines and dryers. There is a small retail space in the registration building as well.
