📖 About This Campground
Upper Onion Creek Campground near Moab Utah is a BLM managed campground providing primitive (no hookup) RV and tent camping up canyon from town. Located south of the highway (away from the Colorado River) the campground is accessed via a graded gravel road. Sites and site pads are gravel also. A very scenic setting with spectacular views of Fisher Towers and the LaSal Mountains. This location is less traveled compared to the campgrounds down by the river and offers a bit more quiet and solitude. Pit toilets are available along with firerings and picnic benches. No water is available.
This campground is more open and can easily fit larger RVs. Sites are both backin/ pull in and pull thrus.
The location is very exposed to sun, wind and rain. Come prepared for whatever mother nature throws at you.
