Upper Big Bend Camping Area is a small riverside campground about 10 miles from Moab that offers scenic views and excellent night-sky visibility. Many visitors appreciate the picnic areas, shady spots, and clean pit toilets/restrooms. Tradeoffs include proximity to the highway and occasional daytime traffic or wind that can affect quiet, and campsites can be close together with some uneven pads. Facilities are minimal — no on-site garbage drop-off — so plan to pack out trash. It can fill early, so arriving early is advisable if you want a choice of sites.

Upper Big Bend Camping Area near Moab Utah is a BLM campground adjacent to Hwy 128 and the Colorado River. 8 tent camping only sites on a first come first served basis. Gravel roads and site pads this campground is in the Big Bend area which is home to a number of camping areas and access points to the Colorado River and Porcupine Rim trail. Pit toilets and no water; come prepared.
