Sites are generally clean and flat with a layout that separates solo and group areas, which helps reduce disturbance, though river rafters or occasional group gatherings can create noise. Amenities are basic: vault toilets only, no potable water, sewer, hookups, or supplied firewood, so bring water and fuel. The campground is open and somewhat exposed to sun - plan for heat - and fills quickly in good weather, making it a convenient, scenic base for hiking, biking, and rafting.

Lower Onion Creek Campground near Moab Utah is a BLM campground offering primitive tent and RV camping sites. 1.5 miles off the highway via a dirt road. First come first served. The location has a boat launch for rafts and the like. It is a bit off the beaten path so is your best bet if the other campgrounds in the area are full. Pit toilets available. The roads and pads are all graded gravel and can fit most any size RV. Excellent spacing between sites. The location is exposed to the elements. No water is available. Some pull thrus are available here.
