📖 About This Campground

Pebble Creek Campground in Yellowstone National Park Wyoming provides 27 primitive tent and RV camping sites in a wooded setting along the road to and from Red Lodge Montana. First come first served the campground is open seasonally and fills up during peak season. No generator use is allowed at this scenic little campground. Tucked up off the road it is quiet here in the evenings. Only 9 miles from Cooke City/ Silver Gate campers come back to this one again and again. During mid-summer the prairies around here are bustling with herds of buffalo. Hiking trails depart the grounds and head up the creek watershed further into the park. Large RVs CAN fit in a number of the sites and the campground roads are reasonable large with no significant tight maneuvering allowing RV drivers to loop thru with confidence. The premier sites are located on the end of the main loop with a few sites all alone providing magnificent views of the valley and mountains. Water is available along with pit toilets. Picnic tables and fire rings at each site. Shared bear boxes at this one for who knows what reason; maybe the park service does not think there are bears in the park?
