My Comments

Starke / Gainesville N.E. KOA - My Rating is out of 5 -- Very nice KOA right off route 301. Paved roads and sites. Long pull throughs, pool, bingo, deluxe patio sites, activities, cabins, laundry, table and fire ring at site, playground, pool, bocce, pet walk, basketball, rec room, shuffleboard, pond, nature trails, horseshoes, community campfire, guide to site. Small store and gift shop. Lots of long term, mobile homes.

Point South I-95 Yemassee KOA Journey - My Rating is out of 5 -- This is NOT your typical KOA. They have a coffee, wine tasting and beer bar in the office. Also a Hunt Brothers pizza store in the gift store and they'll deliver right to your site. Long pull throughs, playground, lodge, lake, cabins. Very helpful staff, they helped us fix damage to our RV so we could get home.

Charlotte / Fort Mill KOA - My Rating is out of 5 -- This is a typical KOA, guide to site, right off I-77. Playground, pool, dog walk, coded laundry and restrooms. Shelter, picnic table and fire pit at site, game room, cabins, lodge. Roads are paved, gravel sites. Disc golf, mini-golf. Some long term sites.

Buffalo Trail Cabins, Cottages and Campground - My Rating is out of 5 -- This is not really a campground but 5 full hook up sites in a parking lot. This "campground" is mostly an ATV resort with beautiful cabins throughout. Restaurant on site, right across from the RV parking area. I was warned to get there before 4PM when the restaurant opened because there was no way to park an RV with cars in the parking lot for the restaurant. The hook ups were in the back of the site almost buried in the ground, hard to reach. Cement pad, fir pit. No shade, no amenities. Very convenient to many ATV and biking trails. Great if you're an ATV or bike enthusiast or if you need to be in the area. The restaurant was great, but only open Thursday, Friday and Saturday after 4PM.

Rocky Top Campground - My Rating is out of 5 -- This campground is in the mountains, very beautiful but very hilly. We couldn't get into the site they reserved for us because it was too steep. There was another site available but not for the entire amount of time we reserved, we had to leave early and go elsewhere. The sites are gravel, paved roads, small store. Guide to site. Some sites had grills, most had tables and fire rings. All very nicely shaded. Laundry, restrooms, game room, dog run, pavilion, cabins. Owner was making new gravel sites by cutting though solid rock. Nice level pull through sites but the back in sites are mostly on hills.

Murphy / Peace Valley KOA - My Rating is out of 5 -- This is a typical KOA. We registered on line, they called to get an ETA and a guide met us at the gate and we just followed him to the site, very easy. Paved roads, gravel sites, long pull throughs. Grassy area at site, picnic table and fire ring at site. Laundry, pool, lodge, dog run, playgrounds, game room. Some back in sites on the river. 1 mile to casino, 2 miles to town. Dog run, Tubing access on the river. Very helpful and friendly workers.

Lazy Acres Campground - My Rating is out of 5 -- This campground has been renamed "Spacious Skies". Guide to site. Dirt roads and sites. All shaded nice, nice tables and fire rings at sites. Gated front entrance. Close to I-95, 10 miles to town, 9 miles to Fort Bragg. Pool (closed for inspection when we were there), laundry, pavilion, fishing pond, walking trails. Near an airport, some airport noise. Half mile down a bumpy dusty road to the entrance.

New Green Acres RV Park - My Rating is out of 5 -- This campground advertises "The Longest and Widest Pull Through Sites East of the Mississippi" and they could be right. Hard to find from the road, not much signage to get you there, GPS went 10 minutes out of the way. Long, wide pull throughs, gravel interior roads, grassy sites. Some ruts and roots to trip over but mostly OK. Under tall pine trees. Big dog run, 2 playgrounds, pool (closed when we were there). Coded restrooms, laundry room. Book exchange in office. Clubhouse. Some long term sites. Mostly level sites. Beautiful gardenias and petunias throughout. Picnic table at site. Close to I-95 but quiet. Needs some work but great for an overnite or two.

Rock Creek RV Resort - My Rating is out of 5 -- This RV park is close to attractions and the city of Naples. Although it's right across the street from a private airport (our site was really close) and we could see the planes coming and going it was surprisingly quiet. The interior roads are paved, cement pads, guide to site. Pool, laundry, rec room, library (closed for the season), tables at sites. Codes for restrooms and laundry. Nice creek in the back with a kayak launch and boat ramp. tiki hut and gazebo for get-togethers. Very nice, friendly and helpful owners. We were there just at the beginning of the off season, probably busier during the winter.

Faver-Dykes State Park - My Rating is out of 5 -- We stayed at Faver-Dykes because we couldn't find reservations closer to St. Augustine for the Christmas holidays. This park is about a 20 minute drive into St. Augustine, and it was fine for a second choice. Faver-Dykes is a smaller Florida state park with only 30 sites, all water and electric. They have a dump and restrooms with showers. There's a 1-1/2 mile long drive into the campground on a dirt road that was full of ruts and pot-holes. We were told the road would be resurfaced the following day but it never was. All the sites are shady, wooded and private with lots of wooded space between sites but some are tight to get into because of trees. There's a boat and kayak launch that leads to Pelletier Creek for saltwater and fresh water fishing, kayak rentals, tables and fire rings at all sites, some have grills. A community campfire circle and 2 covered pavilions. A primitive youth camp for up to 100 people. Lots of nature trails.

Laura S. Walker State Park - My Rating is out of 5 -- WOW, another great Georgia State Park. Laura S. Walker campground has beautiful, big immaculately kept sites, only 2 sewer sites, the other 42 only water and electric but there is a dump. There's a separate area for the cottages and another for the primitive campsites, all surrounded by tall pines trees and most of the sites on a beautiful lake that's clear as glass. The lake has a very small swimming area, boat ramp for both motor boats and canoes and kayaks (which are rentable). The interior roads are paved, sites are gravel with a table, fire pit and some have a grill. Playground is nice and there are two dog runs, one for small dogs and another for large dogs, both have baskets full of dog toys. Multiple covered picnic areas with tables and grills and nice big grassy area. There is a group camping area with multiple buildings, a kitchen, worship area. Amphitheatre, nature and hiking trails, laundry, bike and kayak rentals, wildlife observation platform, tiny lending library, small store but well stocked, geocaching, outside fitness area and interpretive center. Adjacent to the campground is the Laura S. Walker golf center, 18 hole golf course with clubhouse and golf pro shop on site. The city of Waycross, GA is 10 miles away with any kind of store you may need. Very, very nice campground. We were there the week before Labor Day and it was very quiet and peaceful, but it started to fill up as the holiday week-end got closer.

Whites Lake Creek Campground - My Rating is out of 5 -- This is a county campground that doesn't accept reservations. You pull into the campground, pick a site (there are only 10, water and electric only), then call the local police department to come out and unlock the hook-ups and collect payment. DON"T FOLLOW THE GPS OR GOOGLE MAPS, instead there is a small campground sign on the main road, follow that into the campground. The roads are paved, sites are grassy and there's a table at each site. It's on a beautiful lake with a boat ramp and a sandy beach. It's tricky to get in to some sites because of the big, beautiful pine trees and the sites aren't well marked. I think there is a restroom in a building adjacent to the campground. This campground is mostly for locals to come for a week-end and boat and fish but it was fine for an overnight on our way home.

Shallow Creek RV and Mobile Homes - My Rating is out of 5 -- This campground is located inside a mobile home park where the mobile homes are on one side of the park and campsites on the other. Registration is in a small area where there is only a drop box. An on-site host meets you there and shows you the site. Sites and roads are gravel, level, long pull-throughs and back-ins. Nice grassy areas and table at site, pool. Laundry and restrooms in coded bathhouse. Good for one night.

Lake Louisa State Park Campground - My Rating is out of 5 -- This park is close to our home (70 miles) and one of our go-tos, when there's availability, usually in the summer. Great park, long, woodsy drive into the campground, past trail heads, equestrian trail rides and lots of wildlife. The campground is between two lakes, Dixie Lake and Hammond Lake. Every site is nice, some pull throughs, some back-ins, some full hook-ups, mostly only water and electric. Quite private with lots of wildlife. They have huge 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom cabins for rent and have recently put up 3 "glampers" for rent, something like a yurt with AC, beds, etc. There's boat and kayak rentals, a camper canteen with snacks, fishing supplies, souvenirs, firewood, etc. bicycle rentals, fishing pole, paddleboard, canoe rentals. They also offer through another company horseback trail rides, segway tours, kayak and hiking tours. Primitive campsites, boardwalk, fishing pier. Lots of wildlife. And about a half hour from Disney, Sea World, Kissimmee and Orlando.

Neapolitan Cove RV Resort - My Rating is out of 5 -- Very nice campground, right in the middle of town. Almost empty when we were there in mid-summer, but probably packed during the winter. Pool in back of the office. Lounge, rec room, book exchange in office. Mostly shady sites, usually one palm tree. Lots of birds.

Sunny Acres RV Park - My Rating is out of 5 -- This is an adult park with some permanent residents. Mostly shaded sites with gravel roads and cement pads. Very pretty oleanders all through the park. Pickleball, storage area, laundry, clubhouse with small book exchange, dog run, patio, small office, tables at each site. Close to town and Old Messina.

El Rancho Lobo RV Park - My Rating is out of 5 -- This campground was formerly named El Rancho Lobo RV but the new owners have renamed it. DO NOT USE YOUR GPS. The owners will text you directions and if you don't follow them you end up on 3 miles of dusty dirt road. We know from experience. The campground is off a dirt road but it's not too long a drive. The locals told us if you drive slowly on the dirt road it's bumpier than if you drive about 50 MPH. Just watch out for the cows in the road. The sites and roads at the campground are gravel, very nice. The owner meets you at the gate and leads you in. There were 4 hosts always available for help if needed. Very spacious campground. Huge lounge with billiard table, free coffee, soda, TV, book and DVD exchange, big exercise room, laundry. In the back of the rec room there's lots of wildlife. A big owl lives in one of the trees and the owner came and got us to show him to us. Also saw roadrunners in the campground but never saw the elusive badger. Very clean, great views. After we left the owners texted us a great picture of our RV as we pulled out. These new young owners really know what they're doing.

Casa Malpais RV Park & Campground - My Rating is out of 5 -- This campground has gravel roads and dirt sites, some a bit difficult to navigate. Some long term campers. Very nice owners. Fully stocked kitchen (even some food) for tenters or people renting the cabins. Nice clubhouse, big rec room, library and book exchange, laundry, sitting areas inside and out on a patio with a grill. Shady sites, tables at each site, small store, cable, dog walk. Some sites are back to back. One mile to town and Casa Malpais Museum.

Ute Mountain Casino RV Park - My Rating is out of 5 -- We've been to this campground before. It's adjacent to a casino. Gravel roads and sites, 60' long pull throughs. Small grassy area, some shade, indoor pool and hot tub, laundry, small office with helpful staff. Some shade. Pavilion with a kiddie pool, dog run, dump station. Shuttle to casino. Some tent sites. Very well kept and clean.

Shady Acres RV Park & Campground - My Rating is out of 5 -- This campground is in town on the main road. Gravel sites and road, some shade, not enough to be named Shady Acres. Table and grill at each site, 2 playgrounds, store, laundry, discount at their gas station. Group sites, tent sites, basketball, volleyball, public golf course next door. Long pull-throughs, RV wash nearby. Close to Green River with rafting and fishing.

Fossil Valley RV Park - My Rating is out of 5 -- Paved roads, gravel sites. All sites are nicely shaded. Right in town, convenient to all attractions. Owners are very helpful. Laundry, restrooms, grassy areas, tables at each site. Small campground but very nice.

Rock Springs / Green River KOA - My Rating is out of 5 -- This campground has great views and great private tent sites with fences around them. Lots of cabins, common fire pit, pool, playground, laundry, lodge, coded restrooms, tables at each site, jump pad, store, deluxe sites. But the roads and sites are gravel and dusty, no shade and quite close together. Near Flaming Gorge and Pilot Butte Wild Horse trail. Not up to KOA standards.

Casper KOA - My Rating is out of 5 -- Definitely not your typical KOA. Gravel roads and sites, not well-kept. Shady sites, quite close to one another. RIght off I-25. Indoor pool and hot tub, well-stocked store, guide to site, table at each site, no fires or generators allowed, small dog run. Restaurant next door.

Green Trees Crazy Woman Campground - My Rating is out of 5 -- We had a bit of a problem checking in to this campground. We knew they had contactless check in and when we pulled in a man came from the office and told us to park anywhere. We set up and called to find out where to pay. We were then told the man didn't work for them, was just staying there for a few nights and had done this to a few other campers. They let us stay where we were and spoke to the man about it. To pay we went in to the office where they had envelopes set up for the fee. In the office is also the laundry, restrooms, small magazine exchange, no books, and some brochures. The sites are shady, full hook-ups with a fire ring and table at each site. The roads and sites are gravel. Some long term sites. Right across the street from the Rockpile Museum and close to town.

Mt. View RV Park - My Rating is out of 5 -- Small campground close to I-25. Very quiet. Office is in 5th wheel on site. Dirt roads and sites, no shade. Table at every site. Full hook-ups, cement patios, small restroom with showers and laundry, very clean. Good for an overnight.

Paul M. Grist State Park - My Rating is out of 5 -- To get to this campground you drive 1-1/2 miles down a narrow, windy, tree-lined, degraded road that isn't wide enough for two cars to the lake. Luckily, we didn't pass anybody on the way in or out. Nice campground, ranger on site who drives around in a golf cart. There's an office but we never saw anyone in it. Only 11 sites, very well-defined by railroad ties, all on the beautiful lake. Boat ramp, rental cabins, primitive tenting area, fishing pier, small playground, wooded area. All full hook-ups, fire ring, table at each site, equestrian trail, boat rentals, pavilion, swimming area. Lots of wildlife, especially birds. Clean restroom. Not much in the area except the lake.

Pine Bluff Jefferson County Regional Park - My Rating is out of 5 -- This is a small county park with some 50 amp sites, mostly 30 amp, some full hook-ups. You drive through the park to get to the campground which is 1-1/2 miles down at the end of the road past a large county golf course on one side and the park on the Arkansas River on the other. The sites are paved, very narrow with a drainage ditch on both sides which makes it difficult to navigate. The manager lives in an RV on site and collects the fee. There are tables that are old and warped at each site. In the park (but not near the campground) is a playground, boat ramp, fishing pier, ball fields and meeting room. No restrooms in the campground. Good for an overnight stay or if you're planning on using the park.

Wiederkehr Wine Cellars - My Rating is out of 5 -- This is just a grassy area with water and electric hook-ups (30amp) adjacent to a winery and restaurant. The sites are not well defined but we were the only RV here at the time. The water pipes had broken so they waived the $15 usual fee. Picnic table at the site. Nice manager in the winery, owner lives next door with a very friendly dog who spent the night sleeping on our picnic table. Close to other wineries in the area. Bathroom entry was flooded and had trash on the ground, and was unusable. This might be because of the broken water pipes. Nice place to stay if you're self contained and are in the area to visit the wineries. Do not follow GPS, take I-40 exit 41 to 186S 4-1/2 miles to winery.

Twin Fountains RV Park - My Rating is out of 5 -- This is a great place. Close to town, right off I-44 but no road noise. Paved roads, cement sites, some pull throughs, some back ins, some back to back sites. Grassy areas, tables at site, community fire ring, fishing pond, book exchange and DVD rental, lounge, laundry, clean restrooms, immaculate grassy grounds. Storm shelter, morning trash pick up, store, guide to site. Pavilion with grills, patio, Bar and grill on site (not open when we were there). Well equipped exercise room, pool, horseshoes, club room, splash pad, dog groomer, hot tub, mini golf, big ralley room, big game room. Salon, spa and massage on site. Very secure, gated and coded entry. Close to attractions and downtown. Free limo to attractions. Still expanding and adding on more sites. Would definitely stay here again.

Amarillo KOA - My Rating is out of 5 -- Another great KOA. All kinds of sites, all very level, back in, pull through, some back-to-back sites, deluxe sites, deluxe cabins, tent sites, primitive tent sites, group sites, etc. We were here during flood season so everything was wet and lots of puddles. Gravel sites and roads. Table at each site but no fires allowed. Pool, playground, lounge, well stocked store, guide to site, dog run, laundry. Not far from town. Lots of wildlife, rabbits, birds, etc. Prairie dog town across the street. Definitely one of the better choices in Amarillo.

Wild Willy’s RV Park - My Rating is out of 5 -- We stayed here during the rainy, rainy season, everything was flooded, even in town. Fairly new owners, very nice, came to our site to collect payment and to give us info on the area. Right off main road, close to town, gravel sites and roads, not as flooded as they could have been, so they must have good drainage. Small office, not finished yet, very clean laundry (2 washers, 2 dryers) and rest rooms and showers. Some permanent sites. Helpful on site owner and hosts, table at each site, no shade.

Lone Duck Family Campground - My Rating is out of 5 -- Lone Duck in Cascade is very close to Colorado Springs, the cog railway to Pikes Peak, Manitou Springs, Woodland Park and other attractions. Nice shaded pull throughs and back-ins, rental cabins, heated pool, splash pad, fishing pond, game room with lots of video games, laundry, playground, basketball court, small store. Very wooded, dirt roads and sites, table and fire ring at each site. Campground is hilly but not difficult. Great for kids, lots to do. We've been to other campgrounds in Colorado Springs in the past but we'd definitely stay here again.

Royal Gorge / Canon City KOA - My Rating is out of 5 -- This is what you'd expect at a KOA campground, very, very nice. All kinds of sites, patio sites, long pull throughs, deluxe sites, primitive tent sites, group sites, rental cabins, deluxe cabins and everything in between. Great views of the mountains, close to all attractions, especially the Royal Gorge Bridge and close to town. Giant slide, pool, store, outdoor kitchen, mini golf, laundry, western town with horses adjacent to campground.

Capulin Camp & RV Park - My Rating is out of 5 -- This campground is on route 87, gravel roads and sites. Very clean, shady, no tables or grills but a community fire pit. Great view of the volcano. Very friendly guide to your site. Pull through and back in sites, rental cabins, small playground

Amarillo Best Wonderland RV Resort - My Rating is out of 5 -- This campground is conveniently located. The gravel interior roads are terrible, terrain is very hilly and uneven. Sites are gravel, have a table and grill, lots of nice shade trees. Small office, lounge, store, restrooms and laundry all in the office building, but only open when manager is there. Mostly permanent sites, small playground.

Loop 289 RV Park - My Rating is out of 5 -- This campground is very convenient to town and the attractions in Lubbock. Nice manager, Monte, in the office, discount for cash. Restrooms, showers, small laundry, small rec area and book exchange in the office. Lots of permanent sites, some back in, some pull-throughs. All have cement pads with tables at the site. Gravel roads and sites. Underground storm shelter. Most sites are shaded. Close to town but not much road noise. Very nice, clean campground.

Wichita Bend RV Park - My Rating is out of 5 -- This is a county campground with no reservations, there's a feebox and a ranger comes around to collect. 28 sites, nicely spaced, some pull-throughs, some back-ins, some shaded. Right off I-87, which causes some noise at night. Some sites have tables and grills, not all., no restrooms. Nice grassy areas. No sewer sites, but they have a dump station. Swinging bridge from campground leads to Lucy Park.

Sunshine Farm RV Park - My Rating is out of 5 -- We had to call a half hour before arrival and we were met and shown to our site. Nice long pull-through. This campground is on the east side of Route 82 and required a U-Turn going westbound, a bit difficult. Office and laundry were closed when we were there, looked like the campground was for sale and a bit run down. Gravel roads and site, some shaded. Good for overnight.

Texarkana RV Park & Event Center - My Rating is out of 5 -- Really nice park, hard to find though with GPS, we had to use 5000 S. Lake Drive and still had a hard time finding it, no sign out front. Electric gate in front, very secure. Cement interior roads, gravel sites, pull-throughs, back ins, some long term, some shaded. Bunk houses and efficiency apartments on site. Nice playgrounds, pond with ducks, very clean and well kept. Laundry, small store, office on site.

Ameristar Casino Hotel Vicksburg RV Park - My Rating is out of 5 -- This campground is adjacent to a hotel casino and there is a shuttle to the casino. The roads are paved and all 67 sites have a concrete pad and table. Some are shaded, all are full hook-up. Some sites have heated water hook ups. Pool was closed when we were there due to COVID. CCC Museum on site (closed when we were there). 3 minutes to gas stations, restaurants, shopping, Lake Jackson water activities. 14 miles to Sebring Racetrack, 10 minutes to historic downtown Sebring. We've already made reservations for next year.

Stephen Foster Folk Culture Center State Park - My Rating is out of 5 -- The campground at Stephen Foster Cultural Center is another of Florida's beautiful state parks. It's on the Suwannee River. The interior roads are paved, sites are gravel. Each site has a fire pit, grill and table. They are all long and wide, and spaced well for privacy. The area has many large oak trees covered with Spanish moss. Lots of birds and squirrels and a wonderful pine smell throughout. Sites only have water and electric, there is a dump. Also a primitive camping area and five cabins. Playground, restrooms, laundry, ampitheater, picnic shelters, canoe and kayak rentals and launch. Very quiet campground and great for riding a bike. You drive past the cultural center, craft village, restaurant, museum, carillon (that plays Stephen Foster songs during the day), gift shop, and boat launch to get to the campground. All of the buildings and boat launch were closed when we were there due to COVID but we still have a very enjoyable trip and even made reservations to return next year.

General Coffee State Park - My Rating is out of 5 -- There are two campgrounds in General Coffee State Park with 25 sites each, all pull throughs, all water and electric, no sewer sites. There's also a pioneer campground for large groups. The office or "Trading Post" as they call it, is at the entrance with a small gift shop. On the way you pass a heritage farm, with historic buildings such as a blacksmith shop, tobacco barn, syrup shed, corn crib, etc. and a petting farm, an archery range, hiking trails, ampitheater, playgrounds, group shelters and picnic areas. Also a canoe rental and boat launch. The sites are all large and well spaced, restrooms close and a small laundry centrally located. Interior roads in campground #2 are paved, but in campground #1 they are gravel or dirt and some of the sites are a bit tighter, even though they are pull-throughs. Sites are gravel. All are shaded by big oak trees. Beautiful, relaxing campground but not much in the surrounding areas. The largest town is Douglas which is about 20 minutes away. It has a Walmart, restaurants, gas stations and shopping.

There are 11 cabins, all with a view of either the marsh or the river, all fully equipped and with cable TV. Separate tent area and primitive camping area. Whitetail Ridge Campground - My Rating is out of 5 -- Whitetail Ridge is a Corps of Engineers campground on West Lake in LaGrange, GA. on acres and acres of woods. Sites are very wooded and secluded, water and electric only but there is a dump. The roads are paved, sites are gravel and BIG! We stayed in one of the three double sites, actually two sites side by side but considered one site, it was beautiful. There's a boat ramp, small playground, restrooms, showers. Some pull-throughs, some back-ins, all big and woodsy. 12 miles to the closest town and not much there, but a very relaxing campground. No cell service until we got to the town.

Futter’s 4 Oaks RV Park - My Rating is out of 5 -- Futters is 1 mile off I-75, very convenient. Susie and Craig were very helpful and friendly and guided us to our site. Full hook-ups, some pull-through, some back in, some shaded. The sites are grassy, roads are dirt. Book and DVD exchange, laundry outside on the patio, grills at site. Restroom was very clean. Good Wi-fi. We only stayed here one night on our way home.

Elijah Clark State Park - My Rating is out of 5 -- This is a Georgia State Park with the homestead of Elijah Clark on premises for tours. It's on a beautiful lake that connects to the Savannah River. Very busy campground, very woodsy, lots of huge pine trees. Only water and electric, but there is a dump. No Wi-fi or cell service for miles, we had to drive over 12 miles to make a necessary phone call. Lots to do at the campground, mini-golf, playground, fishing and cleaning stations, kayak and canoe rentals and launches. Lots of natural trails to explore. 20 2-bedroom cottages on the lake, 2 group shelters (one for 75 and one for 175), Geocaching, 4 boat ramps, archery, 10 walk in tent sites. Long, long, windy drive into the campground and the amenities are not near the campsites (they're up front near the office and you have to drive to them). Pretty sunsets. The closest town in Lincolnton, 12 miles away, and not much there. We drove over the bridge to McCormick, SC, but not much there either. But the campground was very peaceful, even with a lot of people.

Seminole State Park - My Rating is out of 5 -- This state part is on beautiful Lake Seminole. The interior roads are paved and the sites gravel. No sewer but there is a dump. Some of the sites, mostly tent sites, were closed because of damage from Hurricane David, but they were working on cleaning up the debris. The puil through sites are long and easy to access. Beautiful ramps down to a gravel platform area with a picnic table and fire ring. Nice big grassy areas. There's a small beach, 3 boat ramps, dock rental paddleboards, kayaks and canoes. Mini-golf, hiking areas, playground, group shelters, one for 200 people, laundry, very small library, just a box really. 14 rental cottages, all on the lake. It was windy and cold when we were there, the week before Thanksgiving, so no one was in the water, just some small boats, but in the summer it's a camper's paradise. The closest town is 12 miles away but it's great for a getaway.

Devencrest Travel Park - My Rating is out of 5 -- This campground is conveniently on our way home. It's our last stop before home. More of a mobile home park than a campground, the sites are dirt, some back-ins, some pull-throughs. There are big trees throughout which can make navigating tricky. It was raining and raining when we were here so everything was muddy, which might be better in nice weather.

High Point RV Park - My Rating is out of 5 -- This campground just reopened three months ago after being closed for 15 years. It's definitely a work in progress. It's conveniently right off I-80, has 15 sites, all pull-throughs with full hook-ups, dirt roads and sites. Small store, laundry, dog run and tent sites. Great sunsets and views. Close to town. Owners have their work cut out for them but they seem to know what they're doing.

Belle Ridge Retreat Campground - My Rating is out of 5 -- Gravel sites, paved roads. One mile off I-40. Big, level, shaded pull through sites with a table and fire ring at each site. Rental cabins, ATVs and golf carts. Playground, laundry, pavilion big enough for a wedding, beaches on a pond. Big tent sites. Day use available too.

Towns Bluff RV Park - My Rating is out of 5 -- This is a town campground with water and electric only but they have a dump. Pull throughs and back-ins, very wooded with stately pine trees. On the Altamaha River, there's a boat ramp, hiking trails, hunting, bird watching and water activities. A very interesting heritage center. Gravel roads and sites, a table and fire ring at all sites. Restrooms throughout campground.

Cedar Creek Park - My Rating is out of 5 -- This campground is on a beautiful fast flowing creek with lots of water activities going on, kayaking, tubing, fishing, with kayak rentals on site. Sites are pull thrus and back ins with grassy areas along the river. There's a small lodge for rent, a golf driving range, laundry, fire ring and table at site. Railroad ties separate the sites. The large store sells and rents all kinds of sporting equipment. Large group tenting area on river. Downside if you're not self contained is that there is only one horrible restroom in the middle of the carmpground (not near the tent sites). It has only a shower curtain that serves as a door. The other restroom is up front (not near any campsites) and it's old and not well kept.

Community swing and fire pit. Limited store, playground, mini-golf, cabins for rent. Guide to site. Small western town connected with a rentable dance hall for 150 people. Big catch and release pond with a fountain. Very pretty campground, great for kids. Called a few days after we left to make sure we had a good time.

Hillsborough River State Park Campground - My Rating is out of 5 -- This is another of Florida's wonderful state parks. There are two separate campgrounds, Hammock Circle a bit quieter and smaller and River's Edge larger with some sites on the river. Each site is wooded, has a fire ring and table and is kept really well maintained by the 2 on-site hosts at each campground. Most sites are wide and long. Only water and electric but there is a dump station and clean restrooms with a laundry outside. The only state park I've been to that has a pool and this one is really large in the rear of the gift shop and cafe/grill (another rarity at state parks). Lots to do, hiking trails, kayak and canoe launch and rentals, bike trails, campfire circle, playground, youth camp, some planned events such as dinner under the stars, weekly pot luck dinners and coffee at the ranger station. We've already made reservations to return to this park next year.

Little Manatee River State Park Campground - My Rating is out of 5 -- Little Manatee River State Park is one of the prettiest state parks I've been to in Florida. Only water and electric hook-ups but a convenient dump station. There are 30 RV sites, 4 equestrain sites with stables, a primitive youth camp, playground, picnic area, group camp area, bike rentals, horse and hiking trails, canoe launch. Each big, wide, wooded site has a table and fire ring. From the entrance to the state park there's a 2 mile drive to the campground through wooded area where we saw deer and other wildlife. There are ranger led programs and activities. About 40 minutes from Sarasota, it's not close to shopping but very quiet and relaxing.

Gulf Air RV Resort - My Rating is out of 5 -- Gulf Air is an Encore member resort campground. The interior roads are paved but narrow. Sites are really close but each one has a cement pad and table. There's a heated pool, rec center with planned activities, laundry, picnic area with BBQ, horseshoes and shuffleboard. Most of the sites are occupied by seasonal single wides because it's very convenient to shopping and activities in and around Fort Myers, FL. The RVs are parked in and between these unites an can be tricky to park but there is a guide to the site who is very helpful.

W.P. Franklin North COE Campground - My Rating is out of 5 -- I have been trying to get a reservation at this Corps of Engineers campground for a few years but they were always filled. There's only 30 sites and winter camping in Florida is at a premium but I managed to get a few days in this last week and there were not that many other campers there. The campground is on an island in the Okeechobee Waterway system and all 30 sites are on the water. There are also 8 boat docks available for rent. There are a few pull throughs but most of the sites area back ins, fairly good size and there is extra parking for a tow vehicle if needed. All sites have water and electric and there is a dump on the way out. They all have fire rings, tables with a roof and a grill. There is a nice fishing pier and lots of jumping fish and waterfowl. Beautiful view of the dam and lock on the waterway. We were greeted by an eagle soaring and lunging in the water to catch a fish and saw a few more eagles over the water during our stay. There's trees at all the sites but not too much shade. And it's very windy all the time but it felt good because it was so hot. There's a bench and picnic shelter at the point where you can watch gorgeous sunsets. Good security, 2 hosts on duty and after 5:00PM they lock the gate so you need to use the code to get in. Campground is only 20 minutes from Fort Myers and Lehigh Acres with lots of shopping and attractions. Very nice campground, I'll definitely try to get reservations again.

Four Mile Old West Campground - My Rating is out of 5 -- This was a great little campground. Not many sites but they are all long pull through gravel full hook ups. The managers were super helpful and friendly, full of information about the history of the area and the Old West Museum. Many, many antiques and western articles in the office which leads to the museum. Also, very close to attractions in the area and the town itself.

Compton Ridge Campground and Lodge and Branson Ridge RV Resort - My Rating is out of 5 -- We stayed in the Branson Ridge RV Resort side which is a members only campground, Compton Ridge, which is next door, is open to the public. They're both right across the street from Silver Dollar City and very close to the music theaters in Branson. There is an indoor and outdoor pool, playground, laundry, rec area and activities. The sites are level although the interior roads are built on the hills. Very shady and wooded. There is a covered sitting area at all the sites. Very friendly managers and campers, seemed like many people come here for a long period of time and know each other.

Outdoor World – Pine Country Resort - My Rating is out of 5 -- This is a Thousand Trails RV resort. It's not far off the main road but there are no signs until you get there so if you don't have directions or use a GPS it's difficult to find. The sites are gravel with a grassy area, some are shaded but mostly open. Fire pit and tables at each site. Tent area, dump. Wifi only at the rec hall. Pool, game room, small laundry (only one working, the rest were broken), small cafe (closed when we were there), small book exchange, tetherball, volleyball, shuffle board, horseshoes. RV storage.

Black Canyon Of The Gunnison Np South Rim Campground - My Rating is out of 5 -- This campground has beautiful views in the Black Canyon National Park. We saw quite a few deer that are so used to people that they walked up to us. There were some sites with water and electric and there is a dump station. Some pull throughs but most of the sites were short, not for big rigs, and the tent sites were very nice. Water stations throughout, ampitheater, fire rings and tables at the site.

F.D. Roosevelt State Park - My Rating is out of 5 -- This was a nice surprise. The first surprise was we were able to get into a state park with no reservation. It's the biggest state park in Georgia. The only drawback was you have to register at the visitor center, then drive down a mile on a windy, steep hill to the campground. We didn't know this and went to the campground first, then had to come all the way back up the hill and down again. There's an easier back entrance but you still have to register at the visitor center. We used the back entrance when we left. Many camping areas, come right on beautiful Lake Delanor, ours was over 120' long. Rental cabins. You have to buy a $5.00 pass for the car. No sewer sites but a dump station on the way out and gray water dumps throughout the park. It's very wooded and lots of trees and kind of tricky to get around some corners with a big rig. Ampitheater, rental boats of all kinds, fishing pier, stables, pavilions, playgrounds, tent areas, two hosts for 24 hour duty, hiking trails, Liberty Bell pool close by, close to town and stores. Small souvenir store at the visitor center. Great, great place, will definitely come back.

Perry KOA Holiday - My Rating is out of 5 -- We have stayed here before, it's not far from our home and it's a nice last stop. It has definitely been upgraded since the last time we were here and it's very well maintained. All the KOA amenities plus great people in the office.

Gravel and grassy sites, long pull throughs, big pavilion, small pond, playground, tent sites restrooms. Small family owned campground, Wanda and Bob, the owners, came to the site to collect the fee. There is a host on duty.

D & W Lake Camping RV Park - My Rating is out of 5 -- This campground is built around a very nice lake with kayak rentals and a 1/2 mile walk that goes around the lake. It has wide, gravel sites with a grassy area, fire ring and tables at the site. Well-maintained sites. Very shady and nice sunset views. Dog walk, playground, basketball. Only one washer/dryer.

Deerwood Park - My Rating is out of 5 -- This campground is a city park in a suburb of Waterloo. Self check in after you've set up. 2 ponds, 2 playgrounds, restrooms, host on site, fire rings and tables at site. Tent area, 2 rentable shelters. We couldn't find an open full hook-up site on a Monday early afternoon, it must get really filled during the week-end.

Checkers Welcome Campground - My Rating is out of 5 -- This was a one night stopover for us because it was conveniently located right off I-90. The gravel pull through sites were big, long, shady and grassy. Small store, playground, laundry and book exchange. No Pool.

W.H. Lyon Fairgrounds - My Rating is out of 5 -- This campground is at the fairgrounds and our site was right behind the grandstands. We had a full hook-up pull through in an open area and there were a few more like this but there were more back-ins when we first pulled in. There's a restroom and showers but no other amenities. Close to the city of Sioux Falls. Very busy when the fair is in town. We called the manager for directions and reservations and he came to our site and collected the fee with his golf cart. Very interesting man, he told us quite a bit about the history of Sioux Falls. Would definitely stay here again.

Laundry, playground, showers, multiple dumps, free wifi, some sites with tables and grills. Horse exercise area and corrals. Great stopover, would definitely stay here again.

Fountain Creek RV Park - My Rating is out of 5 -- This is the second time we've stayed at this RV park and we won't stay here again. Although it's close to attractions, the park itself is run down. There are quite a few permanents here and they were quite noisy with children screaming in the roads late at night and dogs barking incessantly. We asked twice to have a branch trimmed over our site and both times were told "Sure, no problem", but it never got done. The manager knew it needed trimming and told us so when we checked in. Noisy street traffic all night long. It's also hard to find, the only sign on the road is totally obscured by huge trees. They have new speed bumps at the entrance that are too high for RVs. There are too many other RV park options in the area so we won't be back here.

Monarch Spur RV Park & Campground - My Rating is out of 5 -- Monarch Spur RV pictures

Monarch Spur RV Park & Campground - My Rating is out of 5 -- Monarch Spur RV is on the east side of Monarch Pass on Route 50, not quite at the foot of the mountain so it's at a high altitude. The sites are gravel, level and shady. There's a beautiful tent area by the river and many hikers use this campground as a base and can get some supplies from the office although not much food. Community fire ring and sitting area, nice rustic community room. Lots of cottonwood trees were shedding their cotton when we were there mid-July and it looked like snow although the temp was close to 100 and there was still snow at Monarch Pass. Hunting, fishing, skiing and snowboarding close by. Some rental cabins. Playground on a lower level near the river. No cell service but the office let me use their landline for calls and delivered a message for me right to my site....more than helpful. About 5 miles from Poncha Springs and 13 miles to Salida.

Oasis RV Resort & Cottages Gunnison Lakeside - My Rating is out of 5 -- This campground is across the street from the Curecanti National Rec. Area and the Blue Mesa Reservoir, 25 miles of beautiful water and views of the mountains. Quite a few boaters were here for a few months. The gravel sites are level, there are back-ins, pull throughs (some very long), and back to backs. Small store, propane, laundry, book exchange, DVD rentals, dog walk and community fire ring. Soccer, volleyball, playground, tent area, horseshoes and cabin rentals. Boat and overflow parking. Some sites are short and somewhat close but it's a quiet campground. We had a problem with the refrigerator on a Sunday and an RV medic who lives at the campground helped us fix it and was very helpful.

RV Ranch at Grand Junction - My Rating is out of 5 -- This is the second time we've stayed here and we still enjoy it. Lots to do in the area, beautiful views. We had a problem with the electric hook-up after hours and called the number on the door of the office for the maintenance man who arrived within 10 minutes and had already fixed the problem. There's a man in the vicinity who will come to your site and for a reasonable fee wash and wax your RV or cars.

Centennial RV Park - My Rating is out of 5 -- This campground has level, gravel sites with a grassy area and great mountain views. There's a small store and book exchange, a community room where they have weekly bingo games, laundry and coded restrooms. The hosts are friendly and informative. It's 20 miles from Ouray and about 20 miles to Black Canyon of the Gunnison National Park. The campground and restrooms were very clean and well maintained.

United Campground - My Rating is out of 5 -- This was a great campground. Although it's only 4 miles from downtown Durango, it's easier to hop on the trolley that stops across the street from the campground and for only $1.00 (50 cents for seniors) it goes into town with multiple stops along the way. The gravel sites are all shaded with big trees, some pull throughs, some back-ins. It's in a valley so there's a great view of the mountains. The Durango to Silverton Narrow Gauge Train goes right through the middle of the campground, tooting its horn before it get there so you can run out and wave to the passengers, or get off the tracks in time. The tracks separate the RV area from the tent area, which is big and grassy and shaded. The campground has a small store, heated pool, game room, coded laundry and restrooms. No fires allowed.

Rodeo de Santa Fe - My Rating is out of 5 -- This was a great campground. It's only 10 minutes from the town square but far enough out that at night you could see lots of stars. The sites are all gravel, some long pull throughs, some nice back-ins. All shady and quiet. There's a small store with souvenirs and some essentials, rental cabins, dog run, a nice wooded trail around the campground. Great pool, small rec room, and a theater with a different movie every night, mostly current movies. Laundry and restrooms behind office. Some tent sights. Very knowledgable staff and brochures in office.

Blaze-in-Saddle RV Park - My Rating is out of 5 -- Blaze-In-Saddle RV Park is in a great area, right on Route 66 off I-40. The new owners are really trying to fix it up. Marvel City Park - My Rating is out of 5 -- Marvel City Park was a great overnight stop. The sites are all gravel back ins with a grassy area adjacent. There are tables at the site and a picnic shelter. There's a drop box for the payment ($10.00). The downside was that it was difficult to find. There's only a tiny sign on the road and the campground is behind a big stadium that hides it from the road. Then you drive past the baseball fields to the camping area.

Henry’s RV and Mobile Home Park - My Rating is out of 5 -- This is a good campground for an overnight stay. 98% of the sites are occupied by permanents and some are run down. There are 3 full hook up in and out sites with wifi and cable. The owner leads you to the site. There's a small laundry and book exchange. Because it's right on route 160 there is some road noise.

Kentucky Horse Park Campground - My Rating is out of 5 -- I can't say enough good things about this park, everything is wonderful. We've been here a few times and every visit is great. We came here this year for the PCRA rodeo, which takes place at the arena in the Horse Park behind the campground. So many things to do in Lexington and this is the perfect place to stay.

There's a small book exchange, big, new laundry, fire rings and tables at the site. The owners are really helpful. There's a rec room but it was closed when we were there. Beautiful tent sites on the river.

Flaming Arrow Campground - My Rating is out of 5 -- This is the second time we've stayed here. It is really close to the town of Cherokee and Smoky Mountain National Park. There is a guide to the site, some short back-ins, long pull throughs. Nice pool, laundry, small store, fire ring and table at the site, Volleyball and a playground. Some of the interior roads are narrow and windy and it would be difficult to navigate even a pop-up through them, they're mostly tents, but there are plenty of sites for big rigs.

Yates Family Camping - My Rating is out of 5 -- This is the third time we've stayed here. It's really close to the Nascar Race track. Very affordable sites and the owners are wonderful. There are no amenities except for horseshoes. The shower is a converted port-a-john. There are some full hook up sites but most of water/electric only in a big open field.

The Oaks at South Point - My Rating is out of 5 -- We were here over Memorial Day week-end.

The Oaks at South Point - My Rating is out of 5 -- This is a membership campground but it is open to the public. All the sites are shady, quiet, pull-throughs, gravel with 30/50 amp. service and there is a separate area for tents. The sites are wooded and level. There's a pool, clubhouse, game room, mini-golf, trails, BBQ area, laundry, RV storage, library, fishing pond, trails. Cable at the site but Wifi only at the office. There's a vehicle wash station on the grounds and multiple fire extinguishers throughout the campground. Although it is close to I-95 there were no grocery stores or shopping areas in the near vicinity.

Interior roads are paved and the pool and hot tub have been newly renovated. Nice, new owners. Rental cabins, dog run, small book exchange, pavilion. The interior roads are nicely paved as are the sites. There's a separate tenting area. We only stayed one night but it would be great for longer.

USA RV Park - My Rating is 3 out of 5 -- USA RV was a disappointment for us. The sites were close and although there was cement to park the tires on it was broken and uneven. The interior roads were terrible, huge ruts and cracked pavement. We were supposed to stay three nights but decided to leave after 2. We were very surprised that we got a cheerful refund. Another good thing was there was plenty of shade but the big trees had some low hanging branches and made for difficult navigation. There's a pool and laundry and great Wifi. Do not follow the GPS, you'll never get there. We had to call twice to get directions.

Old Settlers Park RV Sites - My Rating is 3 out of 5 -- This is our second stay at Old Settlers RV park. We like to stay here because it's right across the street from Dell Diamond where the minor league baseball team The Round Rock Express plays. There are two separate camping areas and both have nice back-ins (not very long, though) and long pull throughs. Sites are all full hook ups on gravel. They don't take reservations which has not been a problem for us although they told us there were a lot of graduations and sporting events in the near future and they would be very full. It's close to town and the original "round rock" and other attractions. Wal-Mart and many other stores right down the street. Very convenient.

You can see the silhouette sculpture "Look to The East" , on I-10, from the property, a wonderful sight when viewed with the magnificent sunset in the park. This park is very clean and well-kept. Mostly snowbirds come here for the winter. Outside there's shuffleboard, a community picnic area with BBQ grills and horseshoes. Many of the streets are lined with park models, each one nicer than the next. Very clean and well kept. Two separate laundries at each end of the park with clean and working washers and dryers. Very nice managers. There was a possibility we would have to fly to NY while we were here and the manager said we could leave our RV on the site and she offered to take us to the airport. Luckily, we didn't have to go. We only stayed there one night but it would be fine for longer stays.

Long, wide, shady sites, 2 docks, playground, picnic shelter, rental cabins, rental RVs, ampitheater. Very clean restrooms and showers. Two miles from the casino. Sign is difficult to see, we drove by it twice and had to call for directions.

RV Ranch at Grand Junction - My Rating is 5 out of 5 -- This campground has long, wide pull-thru sites with a great view of the Bookcliff Mountains. It is near wineries and orchards, has a pool, pavilion, laundry, lounge, 2 playgrounds, dog walk, rental cabins, cable and wifi. Very nice campground in a beautiful setting.

Palisades Senior RV Park - My Rating is 5 out of 5 -- This campground is for over 55 only. Mostly seasonal campers but very friendly. Level, big gravel sites, big pavilion, book exchange, laundry, great wifi. They have arranged trips for their campers and the night we were there they had a pot luck dinner with a guest speaker.

Fountain Creek RV Park - My Rating is 3 out of 5 -- This campground has dirt sites, close together but OK, picnic table and grill at each site. Rental cabins, laundry, restrooms need updating. Close to Manitou Springs, Old Colorado City and Pikes Peak. Two miles from Garden of the Gods. Next to walking and bike trail on the river.

Whistle Stop RV - My Rating is 4 out of 5 -- This campground is adjacent to a huge antique store which is the office for the campground. Wal-Mart is walkable and there is a big sign on the road so it's hard to miss the campground. The interior roads are gravel, sites are grass. A covered picnic table at each site, clean restrooms and laundry. Right off I-70. All sites are 50amp., good wifi. Convenient overnight stop.

Wacky West Travel Park - My Rating is 3 out of 5 -- The owners of the campground went above and beyond being helpful. We need some brake work done and they not only called to make sure we could get right in but then led us in the truck to the repair shop. The campground is not easy to see from the road although it is right off the main road. The sites are dirt, all 50 amp, some shaded and have excellent wifi and BBQ grills and picnic tables at each site. There is a really small playground and the showers and restrooms need updating. The campground is adjacent to the Cowboy Trail, near a town and right behind a grocery store.

Lindenwood Campground - My Rating is 4 out of 5 -- This is a very well maintained campground. There are two areas-A has smaller sites, B has larger sites and are on the river. Reservations are required. The sites are all water and electric only. The roads are paved and wide, marked well. Lots of playgrounds and picnic shelters throughout the park. Softball diamonds, bike rentals, trails, fishing pier, fire rings. Close to the interstate and the zoo and town.

Tower Campground - My Rating is 3 out of 5 -- This campground has two areas-the south campground has paved, larger sites and seems to be for in and out campers. Most sites are back-to-back, some are pull-thru. The west area has smaller gravel sites and in for long term campers. All sites are shady. The campground is close to the interstate, 5 miles from the zoo, Battleship Memorial and Convention Center. The campground has wifi, laundry, free cable and a small playground. The sign on the road is not lit at night and difficult to see.

Rising Star Campground - My Rating is 5 out of 5 -- What a wonderful find this campground was! It's a Corps of Engineers campground located right on the Arkansas River. Most of the sites are on the river. They are all big, grassy, level, long and shaded. They all have a cement pad and covered cement picnic tables. We were there over a week-end in the summer and could not believer we were the only campers there. We stayed an extra night because it was so beautiful. There is a pier, great fishing, playgrounds and a picnic shelter with fireplace. The water fowl, jumping fish and sunsets were very relaxing.

Starkville KOA - My Rating is 3 out of 5 -- This campground is quiet and has long, grassy pull-through sites. The adjacent water park is closed. There are rental cabins, some shaded sites and a laundry. No pool probably because it is next to the water park. We had called for reservations and were given a site number. When we arrived there was a sign on the door stating that the office was closed because of a death in the family. They had not left a packet of info for us and the site they allocated to us was filled. We called the emergency number, they had no record of us calling but they came right out to straighten it out. We told them it wasn't necessary, just assign us another site but they insisted on coming there. While there, the electricity at our site went out, they tried to fix it, couldn't, and plugged us into another site. During the night the electric went out again and we had to plug into yet another site. Given the circumstances the owners were more than helpful. We didn't think this campground was up to KOA standards, however, and not worth the extra money we expect to pay at a KOA.

Horseshoe RV Park at Horseshoe Casino - My Rating is 3 out of 5 -- Bluffs Run is in the rear of the parking lot of the Horseshoe Casino. The registration office is hard to find by following the signs. It was hard to find the first time we stayed there a few years ago and then they moved it and it's still hard to find. It is now in the side of the casino and has its own entrance. The sites are long but slanted and a bit difficult to get into. They're also really close together and if you have slides you could be only inches from the adjoining RV. Ask to have a site with an empty site in between you and the next camper, they will oblige if they're not full. There is a designated second parking spot with each site for vehicles. There's no shade and only water and electric. The restrooms (very clean) and laundry are in a separate building in the middle of the parking lot with a coded entrance. It's close to Omaha and Council Bluffs, Iowa but we thought a bit overpriced at $40

Campus RV Park - My Rating is 5 out of 5 -- This campground is in the Harry S. Truman Historic District and is 1/2 mile from the Truman Library. It's under 5 miles to Arrowhead Stadium (KC Royals) and 1/2 hour to the Kansas City Zoo. They have soccer and softball fields, a laundry, dog run, picnic shelter and nice, big level sites. Helpful owners, very knowledgeable about the area.

Branson Lakeside RV Park - My Rating is 5 out of 5 -- This campground is right on Lake Taneycomo and we watched the water skiers and fishermen. The sites are big and level and it's close to the shows and Branson Landing is right down the street. A free trolley stops right at the entrance to the campground. Some shade, laundry and a small clubhouse. Very nice campground.

Branson View Campground - My Rating is 5 out of 5 -- The sites are on hills but they are all level. There's a small laundry. The office has some books for exchange and the owners are very pleasant and will accommodate most needs. It's very close to the theaters on route 76. Nice pool and playground, shady sites. Swings at most sites. Canopied overlooks throughout the campground which overlooks route 76 and the attractions at Branson. Great views including the ferris wheel which it lit at night.

Downtown Riverside RV Park - My Rating is 5 out of 5 -- We've stayed in the campground a few times and always have an enjoyable experience. It's close to town, has long pull throughs and shorter back-ins. They have a laundry and clean rest rooms. It's gated so it's very safe. There's not much shade except for the few sites on the river. The Presidential Bridge lights up in red, white and blue at night and is a sight to see.

Montgomery South RV Park and Cabins - My Rating is 3 out of 5 -- Clean, quiet, friendly campground not far from I-65. About 15 minutes from downtown Montgomery. Rental cabins. Small store. Fine for an overnight or two.

Pines RV Park - My Rating is 3 out of 5 -- Pines RV Park is very convenient to I-75. Not many sites, but they are all level. It was buggy the night we were there, but it was Georgia in the summer. Quiet, shady, quite a few seasonal campers. Exercise room, laundry rec room.

R-Ranch In The Mountains - My Rating is 3 out of 5 -- This is a huge private resort in the Appalacian Mountains. There are 7 campgrounds, all big, long, level, gravel sites, some with a stream and woods in the rear. There are 2 lakes on the property, cabins for rent, a tiny house village with rentals, even houses for rent. They have stables with horse rides available, a rodeo in June, a chapel on a hill and an Olympic size R-shaped pool. There are activities all year long, many sports fields and playgrounds. And the views of the mountains are magnificent. Not easy to get to but worth the trip for a few nights or longer.

I 75 RV Park - My Rating is 3 out of 5 -- I75 RV is right off I-75 in Tifton, GA. All sites are level, gravel and full hook-ups. There are only 13 sites but Brian and Donna, the owners, told us they have packed in many more when a hurricane landed in Florida and people had to evacuate. We had problems connecting to the wifi and Donna came to our site immediately and helped us. Very convenient, safe and friendly campground.

Kentucky Horse Park Campground - My Rating is 3 out of 5 -- My husband and I have stayed at this park a few times now and it is one of our favorite camgrounds. The sites are all nice with big shade trees. They have a walk in pool with a lifeguard. Sites are only water and electric but a dump station on the way out. They are affiliated with the Kentucky Horse Park, which is next door, and offer discounts to the park. Security is on horseback. There is a wonderful rodeo here in June.
