Hartford Beach State Park’s East Campground in South Dakota offers campers a range of amenities amidst the scenic beauty of Big Stone Lake. Key features include:

Campsites: The campground provides 87 campsites, including 84 that can accommodate RVs and trailers between 32 and 70 feet in length. All sites are currently reservable. Reservations can be booked up to three months in advance. Fees range from $26.00 to $55.00.
Electrical Hookups: 85 sites are equipped with electric hookups, catering to various camping setups.
Sanitation Facilities: Modern restrooms with flush toilets and showers are available for campers’ convenience.
Water Access: Drinking water is available throughout the campground.
Dump Station: A sanitary dump station is provided for RV waste disposal.
Picnic Amenities: Each campsite includes a picnic table and fire ring, facilitating outdoor dining and campfires.
Recreational Activities: The campground offers access to biking, boating, fishing, hiking trails, water skiing, and floating sports. Additional amenities include a playground, boat ramp, fish cleaning station, and picnic shelter.
Accommodations: Three cabins are available for reservation, providing an alternative to traditional camping.

Please note that Wi-Fi service is not available. A South Dakota Park Entrance License is required for vehicle entry into the state park. The campground is open year-round, but between October 1 and April 30, showers, flush toilets, and other water systems may be closed. Vault toilets usually remain open. Reservations can be made in advance.
