Deception Pass State Park Campgrounds in Oak Harbor Washington offer 167 tent sites, 143 hookup sites, and 5 biker/ hiker hikes spread out through this scenic park with fresh and salt water frontage. The camping areas are divided into 3 distinct areas: Bowman Bay Campground, Forest Loop (Main Campground) and Quarry Pond Campground. Of the 3 Bowman Bay is by far the most scenic and secluded with only a handful of sites located on a single loop road down at water level. This out of the way campground is accessed via a steep paved road, has a visitor center and a memorial to CCC who built the park. Paved road through the campground with dirt/ grass parking pads. The backins along the water are very long.

The Forest Loop campground is the largest with a wide selection of sites to accommodate anything from RVs to tents. Paved roads and dirt/ gravel parking pads are laid out over hilly terrain. This campground is accessed via the main entrance.

Finally Quarry Pond Campground is available. Set on the inland side of WA 20 across the highway from the main entrance this large campground has dusty dirt roads and parking pads. Some of the tent sites are situated on a bluff overlooking the namesake pond and are very scenic. The remainder of the sites are nicely placed in a natural setting.

A dump station is available. Restrooms with running water are available at all the campgrounds. Picnic tables, fire rings and an ever present staff of volunteers and employees are available. Deception Pass is a popular destination located in a very pretty area of the country. You can not go wrong in any of the campgrounds within Deception Pass State Park.

Cellular phone service is non-existent in most of this park due to the location.

A very popular state park.
