Upper Soda Springs Campground sits along the river in Reds Meadow with direct access to trails into the Ansel Adams Wilderness and the PCT/JMT. Sites are spacious, shaded by trees, and offer privacy; facilities are tidy and the pit toilets are repeatedly described as exceptionally clean, with potable water available. The campground host is routinely praised for being helpful and welcoming. Nearby hiking, waterfalls and fishing provide plenty to do. Practical notes: roads are unpaved (expect some dust) and reliable cell service may be limited except from higher vantage points.
