What campers say

Reds Meadow Campground offers a scenic, well-kept base for exploring Devil’s Postpile, Rainbow Falls and nearby lakes, with easy access to trails, the PCT, a pack station/store, horseback rides and small hot springs pools. Camp hosts are frequently praised as friendly and helpful, and vault toilets and bathroom areas are noted as very clean. Practical tradeoffs include a narrow, winding access road and a closed bathhouse (hot springs still accessible in small pools), plus limited cell signal in spots. It’s a popular site—plan ahead and arrive early during peak season to secure a site.
