📖 About This Campground
Upper Coffeepot Campground in Island Park Idaho offers 14 partial (electric 20 30 50 amp) and primitive (no water, electric, or sewer) hookup RV and tent camping sites along a floatable section of Henry's Fork of the Snake River. A mixed growth lodgepole pine forest provides partial shade and summer wildflowers are abundant. Henry's Fork has great fly-fishing for rainbow and brook trout; tubing, canoeing, kayaking, and rafting are also popular on the river. Part of the Caribou-Targhee National Forest (Forest Service) the campsites can be reserved. Accessed road can be rough dirt / gravel with wash-board and plenty of dust.
This campground is incredibly popular for its idyllic setting. The river facing campsites look over lush grasses near the riverside. Many people stay here for the river and during the day out comes the floating toys to lunge and relax.
Fire rings, picnic tables and potable water is available. A vault toilet is also available. ATV and UTV riding is popular in this area but they are not allowed in the campground; instead they must be parked in a designated area outside the campground.
