What campers say
Sheep Pass Campground is a roomy, group-friendly site nestled among Joshua Tree boulders, well suited to families, scouts and climbers. Sites are spacious with large fire pits and nearby rock formations for bouldering; nighttime skies are very dark for stargazing. Facilities are basic: chemical/pit toilets are available and generally kept clean, but there is no potable water, electricity, or onsite firewood, so bring supplies. Cell service is spotty. The layout favors group camping rather than solitude, and many sites have little natural shade, so plan accordingly.
