Very few sites for large rv’s most are close together and set up for tents. Reservations recommended for weekend. There are no amenities. Beautiful location

Indian Cove Campground in Joshua Tree National Park California is located and situated amid the huge, steep rock formations for which Joshua Tree National Park is known. The campground is a popular location for climbers. Campground can be reserved during the winter season and is open on a first-come, first-served basis from June 1 through September 29 with primitive (no water, electric, or sewer) hookup sites.
Located outside of the "main park" area this campground tends to not fill up as full during peak months and offers a wide variety of sites. Ample bouldering and hiking right from camp. RVs of most sizes can fit in a few sites close to the entrance; the interior sites are limited to tent, car, and small RV campers.

Indian Cove Campground sits among dramatic granite boulders and offers a quiet, scenic desert experience popular with hikers, climbers, and photographers. Sites are generally well spaced for privacy and there are group sites with large fire rings and picnic tables; vault toilets are provided. Expect no hookups and limited water - this is primitive camping - and some sites are better suited to tents or shorter rigs since longer RVs can be tight or uneven. Nights are often excellent for stargazing, though a few visitors noted light pollution. Be aware of seasonal fire restrictions, hot daytime temperatures, and hard ground for tent stakes.
