What campers say

High-elevation campground near Tioga Road and the eastern entrance to Yosemite, with sweeping mountain views and easy walking access to the lake (roughly a few minutes’ walk). Campsites include bear boxes, picnic tables, grills, generous fire rings, and clean pit toilets; hosts are frequently praised for attentive upkeep. Good base for fishing, hiking, and staging longer backpacking trips to Twenty Lakes Basin. Expect chilly nights and lingering snow into June, rough/dirt road approaches, limited cell/service, and a nearby day-use parking area that can bring daytime vehicle activity. Bring warm layers and drive cautiously.
