What campers say

Big Bend Campground sits deep in a canyon beside a creek, offering river‑front sites, meadow access, and good fishing. Sites are first-come, first-served and popular for day trips to nearby Mono Lake, Mammoth Lakes, and the Yosemite entrance (about a 30-40 minute drive). Facilities are basic but generally reported clean with potable water; there are no showers and some sites near restrooms can experience odors when the wind shifts. Limited cell reception. Bring cash for fees and firewood is available from the camp host. Expect scenic, peaceful camping with a few rustic trade-offs.
