📖 About This Campground

Junction Campground near Lee Vining California is a US Forest Service managed area close to the entrance of Yosemite National Park. A first come first served campground located at the junction of Highway 120 and Saddlebag Lake Road. Set among pines at 9,600 ft. elevation, most of the 13 campsites have shade. Sites 1-5 can accommodate RVโ€™s or multiple vehicles with a maximum parking length of 40 ft (note that the forest service limits RVs to 25'). Sites 6-13 are suitable for single vehicles that do not exceed 18ft. The narrow gravel campground road is not recommended for trailers or large vehicles beyond site 5. Each site has a table, fire ring, and a food storage locker. There are no water spigots (water is available at the nearby Forest Service Campgrounds), bring your own water. Dirt paths lead to vault toilets located near sites 3 and 10. Maximum of 6 people per site. 14 day limit. This campground has majestic views and some pretty tent campsites. Tucked a bit off the road noise is minimal but evident during peak seasons. Trails depart this area. A very good alternative over the busy National Park Campgrounds.
