What campers say

Fox Creek Campground sits along Beartooth Pass Hwy near Yellowstone and Cooke City, offering mountain and lake scenery and nearby trails. Some sites feel fairly private and the campground accommodates tents and travel trailers. Sites include some electrical hookups, double/triple sites and a dump station (key via host), and fees are modest with access/Golden Age discounts. Visitors praise the views, wildlife and proximity to Beartooth Highway, but note occasional seasonal closures or gated entrances and variable services: water may taste poor or be unavailable, and restroom upkeep seems inconsistent. It can be busy on weekends; expect mosquitoes in wet years and follow bear and leash precautions.
