What campers say

Hunter Peak Campground is a small, riverside site that consistently feels quiet and secluded, with very dark skies for excellent stargazing. Many visitors note friendly, helpful campground hosts and well-kept basics — particularly very clean vault toilets and a single pump providing potable water. The setting is scenic and convenient for visiting nearby Yellowstone areas, but services are limited: the location is remote with little access to food or gas. Firewood is available from the hosts. This makes it a peaceful choice if you arrive prepared and expecting simple, rustic amenities.
