About Warm River Campground
Warm River Campground is located nine miles northeast of Ashton, Idaho, along the slow-moving Warm River at an elevation of 5,200 feet. Willows line the riverbanks and pine trees offer partial shade. Tubing and fishing for brook trout, rainbow trout, cutthroat trout, and whitefish are popular activities on the river. Numerous hiking, mountain biking, and horseback riding trails are in the immediate area, leading to natural springs, waterfalls, old railroad lines and tunnels, all with beautiful scenery. No ATVs or OHVs allowed.
Walk-in sites may be available, even if reservable sites are full. The bridge inside the campground which allows access to sites #6 thru #13 has the following weight limits. No RV over 30 feet in length and/or any single vehicle over 15,000 lbs. is permitted on the bridge. Part of the Caribou-Targhee National Forest (Forest Service) the campsites can be reserved.
Accessed via paved road the idyllic campground provides lucky campers with an incredible location to camp in an RV or tent. Onsite camphost the park has a pavilion and an amazing tent camping area set out in mowed grass near the water site. Vault toilets, water available. There are electric boxes near the pavilion but they are keyed/ secure.
A multi-use trail departs this location. The RV camping area on the closest side of the river can handle RVs up to about 30 '; the other side is limited due to the bridge.
