About Lizard Creek Campground
Lizard Creek Campground in Grand Teton National Park offers primitive tent and RV camping sites (size limit of 30') close to Jackson Lake. Situated in a heavily forested setting the campsites are a mix of back in small RV/ tent sites and more private walk-in tent camping sites. A first come first served campground there is a camp host on site to judge arm wrestling matches over who gets the last available site. Restrooms are located throughout the campground. An access area down to the lake for wading and kayaking/ canoeing can be found on the furthest loop from the entrance.
This campground tends to fill earlier in the day so arrive early and pumped (see note about arm wrestling above). One of the more private and peaceful campgrounds inside the National Park there are amazing views at sunrise looking south over the lake.
Picnic tables, fire rings, and bear boxes at each site. Paved roads and gravel/ dirt parking pads. Fresh water spigots are located throughout the campground.
