About Manzanita Campground
Manzanita Campground north of Sedona Arizona along US89A is a US Forest Service tent only campground. Popular location with access to fishing and swimming holes along Oak Creek, beautiful scenery and excellent wildlife watching. Reservations available. Closest Forest Service Campground to Sedona.
The pretty campground is located below the road line accessed by directional single lane drives that descend steeply from the main highway (use caution when pulling in and out). The campsites are situated along a single direction loop road and are large but closely spaced. Some of the sites are park along and hike down while others have parking pads that pull into the site.
The creek is close by and there is a great swimming hole just south of the campground (good fishing too). An onsite camphost provides support and sells firewood.
Pit toilet style restrooms and fresh water is available.
