What campers say

Lizard Creek Campground offers a convenient, scenic base near Jackson Lake and Grand Teton access, with several lakefront sites and generally pleasant wildlife opportunities. Many campers praise the helpful on‑site hosts and the presence of bear‑proof food boxes. Expect some tradeoffs: sites vary — a handful have outstanding lake views while others sit closer together with limited privacy — and roads/parking can be tight for trailers. Facilities are basic: clean restrooms but no on‑site showers (shower/laundry options are available offsite, roughly a short drive away). Overall a solid park campground if you plan sites and vehicle size accordingly.

📖 About This Campground

Lizard Creek Campground in Grand Teton National Park offers primitive tent and RV camping sites (size limit of 30') close to Jackson Lake. Situated in a heavily forested setting the campsites are a mix of back in small RV/ tent sites and more private walk-in tent camping sites. A first come first served campground there is a camp host on site to judge arm wrestling matches over who gets the last available site. Restrooms are located throughout the campground. An access area down to the lake for wading and kayaking/ canoeing can be found on the furthest loop from the entrance. This campground tends to fill earlier in the day so arrive early and pumped (see note about arm wrestling above). One of the more private and peaceful campgrounds inside the National Park there are amazing views at sunrise looking south over the lake. Picnic tables, fire rings, and bear boxes at each site. Paved roads and gravel/ dirt parking pads. Fresh water spigots are located throughout the campground. See the park in standard format
