What campers say
Trail Lakes Campground is a rustic, wildlife-rich spot near the Everglades with roomy tent and RV sites plus basic cabins and chickees. Guests commonly praise friendly staff, dark-night skies, abundant wildlife (including alligators) and on-site conveniences like flushing toilets, hot showers, laundry and a camp store. Expect a natural, not luxury, setting: mosquitoes can be heavy, some sites are close to Route 41 and road noise, and upkeep and landscaping reports are mixed. It's convenient for Everglade City and Naples but can feel pricey for the level of amenities. Good for campers who want a simple, scenic Everglades base.
