Burns Lake Campground is a small, primitive site near Everglades City that's easy to reach and peaceful most of the time. It offers basic, well-kept restrooms (no water or electrical hookups), bear‑proof food storage, and separate tent and RV areas around a central lake. Expect abundant wildlife—alligators are commonly seen or heard—and strong mosquito activity after sundown. The short loop trail and fishing opportunities make for pleasant days, but sites are exposed to sun and nearby RV generators have occasionally disrupted quiet hours. Bring insect protection, shade, and be prepared for primitive camping conditions.
