A paved loop with paved backin sites along it. Electric hookups at every rv site. Every site is 90 degrees to the road making it tough to get and out without tearing up the grass. Secenic lake in the middle with enough alligator warning signs to tip one off that they are there a lot. We paid $15 for the night and got a good rest before visiting Shark Valley. A unique experience.

Midway Campground is a well-kept, remote Everglades campground with level, paved RV pads, electric hookups, picnic tables and fire rings clustered around a small lake. Camp hosts are reported friendly and facilities include flush toilets, potable water and a dump station, though many RV pads lack water/sewer hookups and showers are limited or distant. The site is peaceful with excellent stargazing and easy access to Everglades activities 15–30 minutes away, but it’s about 30+ miles from shopping. Expect spotty cell service and seasonal insect pressure — mosquitoes and horseflies can be intense — and alligators frequent the pond, so no swimming.
