Scotts Flat Lake offers a pretty, family-friendly lakeside setting with waterfront campsites, easy water access for paddleboarding, fishing and kayaking, and basic campground amenities (bathrooms, showers, RV dump/fill). Expect tradeoffs: weekends and holidays can be crowded and noisy, while off-season is much quieter and better for snagging waterfront sites. Several visitors reported high day-use/parking fees. Wildlife activity, including bears, is common and some campers note limited bear-proof storage; boat traffic can create wakes in the day-use areas. Overall a scenic spot best suited to those who balance water recreation against occasional crowds and wildlife precautions.
