Expect tradeoffs: weekends and holidays can be crowded and noisy, while off-season is much quieter and better for snagging waterfront sites. Several visitors reported high day-use/parking fees. Wildlife activity, including bears, is common and some campers note limited bear-proof storage; boat traffic can create wakes in the day-use areas.
