Peninsula Camping & Boating offers a scenic lakeside setting with warm water for swimming, kayaking, paddleboarding and frequent wildlife sightings. Many campsites sit on hills with only a few level spots, so tent and shade setups can be tight; some sites lack picnic tables. After a wet winter, mosquitoes were frequently a nuisance. Bathrooms are generally clean with flush toilets and coin-operated hot showers, though quarters and hot-water reliability can be an issue. Staff are usually helpful but occasional service lapses and noisy neighbors have been reported. Dogs are allowed on leash.
