What campers say

Sanborn County Park offers a mix of towering redwoods, shaded picnic areas and varied hiking trails with rewarding views. Campgrounds are well-equipped with hookups, food lockers, running water, clean restrooms and showers; an amphitheater and reservable group areas suit events. A small parking fee (about $6) gives access to maintained facilities. Trails range from easy to moderately steep—expect dusty stretches and elevation gain on several routes—and occasional maintenance closures can affect some loops. Dogs are generally allowed on leash, and wildlife sightings (turkeys, deer) are commonly reported.
