Munising Tourist Park Campground in Munising Michigan offers tent and RV camping near Pictured Rocks National Seashore. 127 total sites with 78 water/ electric sites, 26 full hookup sites, 23 walk-in primitive tent sites and 8 overflow sites with electric and water. The park also offers 2 sets of modern bathrooms and showers, Located along the banks of Lake Superior the perfectly located city owned park has gravel roads with gravel/ grass camping pads. Sites can be found in an open or shaded setting and the water front sites offer amazing views looking out across the water. The park is located at water level and is flat so during rains ponding of water is typical.
Just off Michigan 28 the park is located west of town just past the ferry access to Grand Island. The "choice" if you want to be close to the water in Munising the location is manned by on staff personal and a small office. Restrooms with showers are available as are some older playground equipment. The popular location fills during peak season and advanced reservations are highly recommended.
The park is older and not well laid out for hookups. Some sites have the hookups in (or near) the appropriate location while other sites require long hoses to reach shared water spigots. Bring extra lengths of hose and cables to ensure no issues in making the connections.
Munising Tourist Park Campground can handle any sized RV.
