What campers say
Moonlite Trails Campground is a quiet, family-friendly spot with well-kept, roomy sand-and-grass sites and consistently praised restrooms and showers. The owners are described as welcoming and helpful, selling and even delivering inexpensive firewood and ice, which many campers find convenient. A small playground and picnic area make it suitable for kids, and the campground is close to public beaches and a boat launch on the Petenwell flowage. Practical tradeoffs include only water and electric hookups (no sewer), occasional mosquitoes and ants in season, and limited on-site trails or direct waterfront access from the campground.
