What campers say
Klahowya Campground sits in a lush, old-growth riverside setting near Lake Crescent and offers many large, private sites—several right on the shallow river—giving a secluded, rainforest feel. Sites are first-come, first-served and tend to favor tent camping; a few electrical sites are available for an extra fee. Practical tradeoffs include limited cell reception, pit toilets/outhouses (some flush fixtures may be out of service), no showers, and a cash-or-check pay station; firewood is sold on site. Bring drinking water and plan for seasonal changes, as parts of the campground and nearby trails may close in winter.
