What campers say
A scenic coastal park with expansive beach, mountain views, and many birds—especially bald eagles—making it excellent for photography and wildlife watching. Campsites and cabins are available with picnic tables, grills and fire rings; parking and trails are plentiful and the area is fairly accessible without a long hike. Facilities are basic: pit toilets are present but sometimes poorly maintained, and there is no potable water, trash service, or RV dump. Be aware salmon-spawning season can leave beaches messy and odorous; otherwise it’s a quintessential, year-round Alaskan shoreline outing.
