Desert View is only open during the Summer months and is located within the park. It is within walking distance to the south rim's Desert View Tower. There are working restrooms and flushing toilets. No Showers--you'll have to drive to the village for that business. There is a General Store and a Gas Station near the Desert View Tower.

📖 About This Campground
Desert View Campground in Grand Canyon National Park Arizona is located east of Grand Canyon Village and offers primitive tent and RV sites with a maximum vehicle length of 30ft. The campground has 50 campsites and is on a first come first served basis. Sites are situated within a desert forest of small trees and shrubs providing some privacy between sites. A short walk to the Canyon Rim this campground is open only during warmer months. A single direction paved road loops through the campground. Sites have paved pads. A nice little campground.
Adjacent to the entrance into this campground is a fuel service station with small grocery. Campers can walk to the Watch-Tower and museum located at the southeastern side of the South Rim of the Grand Canyon.
