Coyote Point Recreation Area offers a well‑maintained bayfront park popular with families for its large playgrounds, picnic and barbecue areas, and a shallow sandy beach with tide pools. Visitors note clean restrooms, drinking fountains, walking and biking paths, and pleasant bay and sunset views, plus airplane traffic visible from the shore. The park is dog‑friendly and suitable for light hikes, cycling, and wind‑sports. Practical tradeoffs include variable wind between areas and noticeable aircraft noise near the water; vehicle entry may carry a small fee while walking in can avoid it. Campsites and restroom/shower hours are limited, so plan ahead.

Located along the bay Coyote Point is a regional recreation area that provides a wide variety of opportunities: picnicking, swimming, windsurfing, bicycling, jogging, fishing, boating, and sailing. Kids will love the giant, castle-and-dragon-themed Magic Mountain Playground.
