What campers say

Big Game Campground, just west of Cody and on the route to Yellowstone, is a basic, low-cost option popular with dry campers and anglers. Sites are roomy, first-come/first-served (max 16 days), and typically include a picnic table, fire ring and bear-resistant food storage; water isn’t provided so bring your own. Hosts are frequently praised for upkeep though facilities are rudimentary outhouses. Expect cottonwood-lined river access, wildlife sightings (deer, elk, moose and occasional bears), and both mosquitoes and wet/muddy conditions in rainy years or after spring runoff. Generators and quiet campfires may be tolerated with neighborly checks.
