Bear Head Lake State Park - My Rating is 5 out of 5 -- Nice Park, some sites might be tough to back a TT into.

La Salle Lake State Recreation Area Campground - My Rating is 5 out of 5 -- Very nice alternative to a heavily used Itasca State Park. 5 miles from Itasca and your entry into La Salle also give you access to Itasca. All sites are FHU back in only but plenty of room between sites. Bath/restrooms are super clean and brand new. Each site has a fire ring and picnic table.

Heritage Acres RV Park - My Rating is 3 out of 5 -- Older campground all in the open nice sites and friendly staff. I stayed on a Saturday night and there was a fair amount of motorcycle traffic. I did not use the facilities.

Falling Waters State Park - My Rating is 4 out of 5 -- Beautiful area, was passing through on a Friday night and park was busy with families having fun. Did not check out restrooms/showers

Oscar Scherer State Park Campground - My Rating is 4 out of 5 -- Very nice State Park...sites are wooded and quiet. Restrooms could use an upgrade

Fort De Soto Park Campground - My Rating is 5 out of 5 -- Beautiful sites, most on the water hard to get a reservation but well worth it

Stoney Creek RV Resort - My Rating is 5 out of 5 -- Very nice campground. Lots of room, very clean facilities and nice staff.

Red Trail Campground - My Rating is 4 out of 5 -- Offers Full hookups Wi-Fi and cable TV (fee). Manager helps guide you into your spot, some are tight. General store on site with most of your needs. Many sites have shade trees. Dump and air stations. Showers and restrooms are a little dated but clean. Restaurants (no grocery store) are just a couple blocks from campground. Several miles from Roosevelt National Park entrance. I camped in a motorhome.

Arrowhead RV Resort - My Rating is 4 out of 5 -- New RV park, nice clean facilities, Wifi, no cable or over the air TV. Close to Boundry Waters Canoe Area, restaurants and shopping. I stayed in a motorhome

Leech Lake Recreation Area Campground - My Rating is 5 out of 5 -- A very nice ACOE park with new facilities and a boat launch to Leech Lake and a safe harbor for your boat. Most sites have electricity and a few are full hookup sites. Water can be shared at several sites but bring plenty of hose. The sites are mostly back in with a few pull throughs and all are shaded and nicely separated from adjacent sites. All have picnic tables and fire rings. I have stayed their several times in 2015 in a motorhome.

Wildwedge Golf & RV Park - My Rating is 5 out of 5 -- Great little RV park..sites are large with full hook-ups, wifi, cable, picnic tables and fire rings. Pet friendly. All sites except pull throughs are semi shaded and over look their nice par 3 golf course. The facilities are brand new and super clean. Close to shopping, grocery store and restaurants. State bicycle trails and a mini golf course are also adjacent. You could travel coast to coast and not find more friendly camp hosts and owners. Stayed May-June 2015 in a motorhome.
