📖 About This Campground

Union River 'Big Bear' Campground Located 15 miles west of Ontonagon, 2 miles west of Silver City, at the entrance to the Porcupine Mountain Wilderness State Park.  Just across the road from Lake Superior with a mile of sandy beach, we have 40 quiet, spacious, level campsites surrounded by forest, with power and water, dump station on site, picnic tables, fire rings, a very nice indoor restroom and shower building, wifi, pets welcome.  The Porcupine Mountain State Park offers 90 miles of hiking/walking trails, towering cliffs, numerous waterfalls, lakes, streams, old growth forest, a high point (Summit Peak) and the beautiful Lake of the Clouds scenic area.
