Ironwood Point Recreation Area is a well‑maintained lakeside campground with attractive waterfront and sunset views, a reliable boat launch and gas dock, and on‑site marina slip options. The small camp store and helpful owners/staff add convenience; campsites (including level tent and walk‑in options) are clean and reasonably priced, with firewood delivery available. Practical tradeoffs include a steep climb from the launch, some older dock/stair railings that could use attention, limited direct walking‑trail access from the grounds, and a no‑dogs policy—quiet for many but a drawback for pet owners. Bathrooms are available, and some guests bring hand sanitizer.
