📖 About This Campground

Austin RV Park in Austin Nevada offers 21 back-in full hookup RV sites. Located on the north side of US 50 just across from the other RV park in town the location has packed desert gravel roads and parking pads with a majority of the sites backed in to direct off the secondary street. Sites are narrow and can be cramped when crowded. Restrooms with showers are available as is a little grassy area for tent campers near the office. Guests can walk a few hundred yards to Gridley Store a National Historic Landmark Building. An additional "lower" camping area is better suited to larger RVs with backin sites but be wary of the steep grade when accessing this area. Adventure seekers should bring mountain bikes or ATVS to explore the hundreds of miles of forest service roads accessible from anywhere within town. Immediately across the highway from a community park which features a beautiful barbecue area with tables, grassy field, trees, horseshoe pits, and heated swimming pool with showers. From the owner: Highway 50 at Water Street Featuring “Clean Restroom and Showers”, full hook-ups, tent spaces, shade trees & Grass with easy access to the City park! RV Dump for all the travelers. Weekly and Monthly rate available We welcome groups for your special occasions

Very disappointed with this park. We called in advance to make sure they were open and had sites... they said yes and yes. Arrived to find the place all but empty and the sites to be in complete disarray. To their credit the utilities were on and if we didn't mind plowing through the mud piles we could have stayed. As it is we rolled on. In the summer this would be the nicer place to stay in town for small to mid sized rigs. The sites are designed for RVs with no slides so you would need to position perfect in space to pop your slides if you have them. Verizon 4G in town and you are within walking distance of the old downtown area. Sites back up to the roadway along the steep grade in and out of town so there would be noise. Arriving from the east (traveling west bound ) is easy. Arriving from the west you either need to make the sharp left back on to Water St or the first left up East St which is very steep. We took a look at the other park across the street and that is best suited to big rigs with easy to access pull thrus.
