What campers say
Bob Scott Campground is a small, well‑spaced site collection just off Highway 50 near Austin (about seven miles). At roughly 7,200 ft it offers cool nights, dark skies and easy access to nearby hiking and biking. Sites are few (about 9–10), vary in size and slope — some accommodate 30–37 ft trailers while others are tighter or uneven — and include picnic tables, fire rings and grills. Flush toilets are provided; water availability and dump hookups are limited or inconsistent. The park is generally quiet and clean, though occasional highway noise and some maintenance issues have been reported.
