What campers say

Young State Park is a family-friendly campground known for a broad, sandy, shallow beach and well‑maintained grounds. Amenities include clean restrooms and free showers, a boat launch, playgrounds, hiking and biking trails, some waterfront and 50‑amp RV sites, and a few mini cabins close to the beach. Practical tradeoffs: certain loops can feel crowded at peak times, site sizes and levelness vary, and there is limited water hookup/hosing at some sites plus a single dump station that can cause waits. Trails can be muddy and buggy. Nearby Boyne City and Charlevoix provide extra services and activities.
