Magnus Park is a scenic Lake Michigan shoreline with a beach prized for Petoskey stone hunting, sunset views, and a grassy picnic area. The paved Wheelway bike path runs through the campground, and the town and marina are within easy walking/biking distance. Facilities are reported as clean, with showers and restrooms. Practical tradeoffs include a dog-friendly section of beach (dogs allowed in part), occasional sewage-treatment odors depending on conditions, and seasonal insect swarms or periodic construction-related noise and truck traffic.
