Wilderness RV is 2-1/1 miles off I-10. The sites are dirt with grass in between the sites. They're long, level pull throughs with full hook-ups and they all have large trees for shade near them. The roads are gravel. There are 2 fishing ponds, a pool, book exchange, laundry and small club house. Nice for a night or two. Manager was really nice.

What campers say
Wilderness RV Park is an affordable, wooded campground just off I-10 with easy access to nearby stores. The park offers full hookups, pull-through sites, a pool, clubhouse, laundry, ponds for fishing, and a gated entrance — many guests note a friendly, community feel. Upkeep is inconsistent: bathhouses and showers are often described as dim or poorly maintained, some roads and sites have potholes or tight approaches, and several long-term sites appear cluttered or overgrown. Tree cover can affect satellite internet. A good budget, no-frills option if you accept variable maintenance.
