What campers say

Tallulah Gorge State Park offers dramatic waterfalls, overlooks and a popular suspension bridge framed by steep canyon scenery. Well-maintained trails and an interpretive center with restrooms and a small shop make it visitor-friendly, while campgrounds have water, electric hookups, restrooms and showers. Plan for a workout: many stairs, steep climbs and slippery river crossings can be challenging. Some backcountry areas require permits or close during high water, and there’s a day parking fee (cash may be required). Rangers are helpful, and seasonal foliage or cooler water temperatures add to the park’s appeal; campground office hours may vary.
