What campers say
Moccasin Creek State Park is a very small, mostly RV-oriented campground on the western shore of Lake Burton with a trout creek, boat launch and dock. The park is popular for fishing — there’s a designated kids/senior fishing area and bait and supplies are sold at the small office — and it sits next to a fish hatchery. Sites are shaded and staff and camp hosts are frequently described as friendly; restrooms and basic facilities (showers, laundry) are available. Expect limited privacy on some sites, a curvy access road, and occasional flooding during heavy rain.
