Stanton Lake Park is a pleasant small-town park centered on a large pond with paved walking trails, benches, picnic areas, a playground and disc golf. It offers fishing and has RV hookups and basic camping (reports of low nightly fees for tent sites). The grounds are well kept and convenient to downtown, making it family- and dog-friendly. Tradeoffs: restrooms and showers are available but have been reported locked overnight or lacking hot water at times, and occasional train noise can be noticeable near the lake. Overall a scenic, affordable spot for short stays and daytime visits.
